Veins of the hand: Dorsal view (English)

The dorsal digital veins travel along the sides of the fingers and are joined by the oblique intercapitular veins which collect blood from the palmar digital veins. The dorsal digital veins empty into the dorsal metacarpal veins which ultimately drain to the dorsal venous network of the hand. The dorsal venous network gives rise to the superficial veins of the forearm which include the cephalic and basilic veins.
