Shoulder (glenohumeral) joint (English)

Shoulder (glenohumeral) joint (English)

We can see that there are several ligaments that reinforce the articular capsule, stabilizing the joint. These are the coracohumeral ligament and transverse humeral ligament, that support the joint from its superior side, and the superior, middle and inferior glenohumeral ligaments that support it from the anteroinferior side. In this view, we can also see the rotator cuff muscles converging to envelop the shoulder joint; these are the supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor and subscapularis muscles.
