Scrotum and spermatic cord (English)

Scrotum and spermatic cord (English)

The scrotum consists of several layers: skin, dartos fascia (with dartos muscle), external spermatic fascia, cremasteric fascia (with cremaster muscle) and internal spermatic fascia. The internal spermatic fascia is loosely attached to the parietal layer of tunica vaginalis of the testis. Structures in the spermatic cord include the ductus deferens, artery to ductus deferens, testicular artery, pampiniform plexus, cremasteric artery and vein, genital branch of the genitofemoral nerve, autonomic testicular plexus, and lymphatic vessels. The fascias enclosing the contents of the spermatic cord are the internal spermatic fascia, cremasteric fascia (with cremaster muscle), and external spermatic fascia.
