Regions of the lower extremity (Latin)

Regions of the lower extremity (Latin)

The lower limb is divided into 7 main regiones: the regio glutea, regio coxalis, regio femoralis, regio genualis, regio cruralis, regio talocruralis and regio pedis. Some of these regiones are divided in accordance to their anterior and posterior surfaces, while others have specific subregiones through which clinically significant neurovascular structures pass. e.g. trigonum femorale, which contains the n. femoralis, a. femoralis and v. femoralis.
