Regions of the lower extremity (English)
The lower limb is divided into 7 main regions: the gluteal, hip, femoral (thigh), knee, leg, talocrural and foot regions. Some of these regions are divided in accordance to their anterior and posterior surfaces, while others have specific subregions through which clinically significant neurovascular structures pass. e.g. femoral triangle, which contains the femoral nerve, artery and vein.
