Regions of the back and buttocks (Latin)

Regions of the back and buttocks (Latin)

The back and buttocks present several distinct topographical regions which are named according to their relations with underlying structures. The nine regiones dorsi are the regiones deltoidea, suprascapularis, scapularis, interscapularis, infrascapularis, vertebralis, lumbalis et sacral sacralis as well as the trigonum auscultationis. The buttocks can be similarly classified into regiones glutea, analis et coccygea.
