Omental bursa (relations) (Latin)

Omental bursa (relations) (Latin)

Abdominal cavity (cavitas abdominalis) with paries posterior gastris reflected. Posteriorly, the stomach (gaster) is related to the facies anterior pancreatis, left kidney (ren sinister) and glandula suprarenalis, a. splenica and spleen (splen), as well as the mesocolon transversum which separates the stomach from the flexura duodenojejunalis and jejunum. These organs form a shallow bed which is separated from the stomach by the bursa omentalis. Also visible is the truncus coeliacus arising the aorta abdominalis from which the aa. gastricae/gastroomentales dextrae et sinistrae ultimately originate.
