Nerves of the thoracic wall (Latin)

Nerves of the thoracic wall (Latin)

The rr. anteriores of nn. spinales T1-T11 (a.k.a. nervi thoracici 1-11) form the nn. intercostales that course within the spatia intercostalia. The r. anterior nervi spinalis T12 (a.k.a. n. thoracicus 12) forms the n. subcostalis that runs below the rib cage. The thoracic wall also receives innervation from the n. pectoralis medialis and n. pectoralis lateralis, which arise from the fasciculus medialis and lateralis of the plexus brachialis, respectively.
