Die Nasenhöhle wird von drei Nerven innerviert:1. Hirnnerv 1 - Geruchsnerv2. Hirnnerv 5 - Drillingsnerv3. Hirnnerv 7 - GesichtsnervDer Geruchsnerv (I) trägt Geruchsinformationen zum Gehirn. Der Drillingsnerv (V) versorgt die Nasenhöhle sensibel, wobei der Augenhöhlennerv (V1) die vordere Nasenhöhle und der Oberkiefernerv (V2) die hintere Nasenhöhle innerviert. Der Gesichtsnerv (VII) leitet parasympathische Fasern zu den mukösen Nasendrüsen.
