Nerves of the forearm: Anterior view (Latin)

Nerves of the forearm: Anterior view (Latin)

The n. medianus is the principa nerve to the compartimentum anterius antebrachii. It gives rise to the n. interosseus anterior as well as several rr. musculares. The n. ulnaris travels through the forearm, supplying only the m. flexor ulnaris carpi and part of m. flexor profundus digitorum as it travels into the hand. The n. radialis divides into its r. superficialis and r. profundus just before it enters the forearm. Cutaneous innervation of the forearm is supplied by the nn. cutanei medialis et lateralis antebrachii and their associated rami. The n. cutaneus medialis antebrachii arises from the fasciculus medialis plexus brachialis, while the n. cutaneus lateralis antebrachii is a continuation of the n. musculocutaneus.
