Main muscles of the upper limb - posterior (English)

Main muscles of the upper limb - posterior (English)

On the posterior aspect, the posterior compartment of the arm can be appreciated. The only muscle in this region is the triceps brachii muscle, the main extensor of the forearm. Moving distally, the muscles of the posterior compartment of the forearm can be seen, which act as the extensors of the hand. Some of the main extensor muscles include the extensor digitorum and brachioradialis. Lastly, the main muscles of the posterior aspect of the hand are the dorsal interossei muscles.
