Main bones of the upper extremity (Latin)

Main bones of the upper extremity (Latin)

The skeletal framework of the omos, brachium and antebrachium (upper left image) is composed of only five ossa: the clavicula, scapula, humerus, radius and ulna. However, the ossa manus are 27 in number, and are known as the ossa carpi, ossa metacarpi and phalanges manus. The posterior (dorsal) view of the manus is shown on the lower left image, while the anterior (palmar) view of the manus is shown on the lower right image.
