Ligaments of the metacarpals and phalanges: Lateral view (Latin)

Contributing to the stabilization of the artt. metacarpophalangeae and interphalangeae are the ligg. collateralia propria and accessoria of the artt. metacarpophalangeal and interphalangeae. These ligaments are located on the radial and ulnar aspects of each joint and help to prevent excessive adduction-abduction movements of associated joints.
