Impressions of right lung (Latin)

Due to the presence of other organs in the cavum thoracis, the surfaces of the lungs are marked by impressions of adjacent organs. The facies medialis pulmonis dextri is marked by a number of impressions from adjacent organs. The most prominent impressions include the impression of the v. azygos, vena cava superior, v. brachiocephalica dextra, trachea and esophagus, as well as the groove for the costa prima.
