Female breast structure (English)

This sagittal section illustrates the precise relations of the female breast with the underlying structures of the anterior thoracic wall. Furthermore, it shows the compartmentalization of the breast into lobes by the suspensory ligaments of breast and how the lactiferous ducts of all the lobes coalesce towards the nipple. The anterior view presents the surface anatomy of the female breast and gives yet another glimpse into the internal organization of the breast into lobes.
