The posterior musculi of the antebrachium are divided into a pars superficialis and pars profunda. The pars superficialis is a group of 6 musculi, containing the m. brachioradialis, m. extensor radialis longus carpi, m. extensor radialis brevis carpi, m. extensor digitorum, m. extensor ulnaris carpi and m. extensor digiti minimi. The pars profundus is a group of 5 muscles, that includes the m. supinator, m. abductor longus pollicis, m. extensor brevis pollicis, m. extensor longus pollicis and m. extensor indicis.
