Cardiovascular system: Veins of the upper part of the body (English)

The venous blood from the head and neck are drained by the internal and external jugular veins. These veins meet with the subclavian vein, which drains the blood from the upper limb and thorax, to form the brachiocephalic veins on each side. In turn, the left and right brachiocephalic veins merge to form the superior vena cava, which empties into the right atrium.
