Bones of the wrist and hand (Latin)

Bones of the wrist and hand (Latin)

The following image shows the ossa of the carpi/manus from a palmar (ventral) perspective. Notice how the bones are divided into three groups: ossa carpi, ossa metacarpi and phalanges. Notice that the joints which connect them are named according to the bones that participate in comprising them (e.g. art. carpometacarpea).
