Blood vessels of the eyeball (Portuguese)

Corte sagital mediano do globo ocular. A irrigação arterial vem principalmente da artéria oftálmica, um ramo da artéria carótida interna. Ela dá origem a vários ramos oculares, como a artéria central da retina, os ramos musculares e os ramos ciliares anteriores e posteriores. A artéria central da retina irriga o nervo óptico e as camadas mais internas da retina. As artérias ciliares irrigam a coroide e as camadas mais externas da retina. As artérias ciliares anteriores e posteriores se anastomosam para formar os círculos arteriais maior e menor da íris. A drenagem venosa ocorre através das veias vorticosas e da veia central da retina, que drenam nas veias oftálmicas superior e inferior.
