Arteries of the posterior thoracic wall (Portuguese)

As artérias que irrigam o esôfago são chamadas, apropriadamente, de artérias esofágicas. Elas se originam dos seguintes vasos, cada uma suprindo uma região diferente do esôfago:- Artéria tireóidea inferior: ramo do tronco tireocervical (da artéria subclávia). Irriga o terço superior do esôfago. - Aorta torácica: ramos diretos da aorta irriga o terço médio do esôfago. - Artéria gástrica esquerda: ramo do tronco celíaco, irriga o terço inferior/parte abdominal do esôfago.
