Alphanumeric Notation (deciduous teeth) (Latin)

Alphanumeric Notation (deciduous teeth) (Latin)

The alphanumeric notation for the dentes decidui follows the same format as the dentes permanentes, however, as with other notations it incorporates letters (A-E) instead of numbers for each tooth (mesial to distal). For example, the dens incisivus lateralis mandibularis is represented as ‘LRB’, ‘LR’ meaning lower right, and ‘B’ the second letter in the alphabet, the second tooth furthest away working mesial to distal.
