Palmer Notation Method (deciduous teeth) (English)

Palmer Notation Method (deciduous teeth) (English)

Palmer Notation for the deciduous or primary dentition uses the same symbols and format as used in permanent detention, however, instead of numbers, the letters A-E are used to notate the teeth in each quadrant (mesial to distal). An example of this notation, the mandibular left first molar (⎾D) receives the letter ‘D’, a horizontal line above it (representing a mandibular tooth) and a vertical line to the left of the letter (representing a tooth located in one of the left quadrants).
