Medial wall of the nasal cavity (English)

The nasal septum divides the nasal cavity into the right and left chambers. This septum has both bony and cartilaginous parts, composed mainly by the perpendicular plate of the ethmoid, the vomer and the septal cartilage. The septum is smooth and mostly featureless, and like the rest of the nasal cavity, it is covered with nasal mucosa.
