Skull bones - Inferior view (Latin)

Skull bones - Inferior view (Latin)

The ossa temporalia articulate with the ossa zygomatica anteriorly, forming the arcus zygomatici. Posterior to them is the os occipitale which occupies most of the posterior aspect on the inferior side of the cranium. The os sphenoidale can be identified centrally articulating with the maxillae and ossa palatina anterior to it; these form the palatum durum while the former also houses the dentes maxillares.
