Palmer Notation (deciduous teeth) (Latin)

Palmer Notation (deciduous teeth) (Latin)

Palmer Notation for the dentes decidui/primi uses the same symbols and format as used with the dentes permanentes, however, instead of numbers, the letters A-E are used to notate the teeth in each quadrant (mesial to distal). An example of this notation, the dens molaris primus sinister mandibularis (⎾D) receives the letter ‘D’, a horizontal line above it (representing a mandibular tooth) and a vertical line to the left of the letter (representing a tooth located in one of the left quadrants).
