Main arteries of the lower limb (Portuguese)

A principal artéria que supre a região do quadril e da coxa é a artéria femoral. Logo após sua origem, a artéria femoral dá um ramo chamado de artéria femoral profunda para suprir as estruturas profundas da coxa. A artéria femoral continua na fossa poplítea para se tornar a artéria poplítea, que supre a região do joelho. Após um pequeno trajeto, a artéria poplítea termina nas artérias tibiais anterior e posterior, que suprem as regiões anterior e posterolateral da perna, respectivamente.
