Regions of the upper extremity (Latin)

The upper limb is divided into 4 main parts - the shoulder (omos), arm (brachium), forearm (antebrachium) and hand (manus). The omos contains two important regions: the regio deltoidea and the regio axillaris (fossa axillaris). The brachium and antebrachium contain two regions each that correspond to their anterior and posterior surfaces. Found between the brachium and antebrachium is the regio anterior cubiti and regio posterior cubiti. Below the antebrachium is the regio carpea, which connects the antebrachium with the manus. Lastly, the manus consists of the palma anteriorly and dorsum manus posteriorly. The manus can be subdivided into the regiometacarpea and the digiti manus. The digiti manus are numbered 1-5 from the pollex to the digitus minimus manus.
