Nerves of the nasal cavity (English)

The nasal cavity is innervated by 3 nerves1. Cranial nerve I – Olfactory nerve2. Cranial nerve V – Trigeminal nerve3. Cranial nerve VII – Facial nerveThe olfactory nerve carries information of smell to the brain. The trigeminal nerve supplies the nasal cavity with sensation, where CN V1 (ophthalmic nerve) innervates the anterior nasal cavity and CN V2 (maxillary nerve) the posterior cavity. The facial nerve carries parasympathetic supply to nasal mucous glands.
