Lymphatics of the male genitalia (English)

The external male genitalia (skin of scrotum, penis) are primarily drained by the superficial and deep inguinal lymph nodes. Lymph from the inguinal nodes is then drained to the external iliac nodes, which in addition to the internal iliac nodes, also drain the internal male genitalia (prostate, seminal glands, etc.). The exceptions of this are the testes, epididymides and proximal ductus deferentes which drain directly to the lumbar lymph nodes, via vessels along the gonadal arteries.
