Arteries of the forearm: Posterior view (Latin)

The rete articulare cubiti is formed by branches of the aa. brachialis, radialis and ulnaris. Component vessels include: the a. collateralis radialis, a. collateralis media, a. collateralis ulnaris superior and a. collateralis ulnar inferior, which anastomose with the a. recurrens radialis , a. recurrens interossea, a. recurrens ulnaris anterior et a. recurrens ulnaris posterior. These arteries provide arterial supply to structures of the articulatio cubiti. The a. interossea posterior arises from the a. interossea communis and passes dorsally acrosss the proximal border of the membrana interossea to reach the compartmentium posterius antebrachii. It continues distally between the mm. superficiales et profundi of the posterior forearm and gives off several rr. musculares and rr. cutanei. Near the wrist it anastomoses with the a. interossea anterior and contributes to the formation of the arcus dorsalis carpi of the manus.
