Impressions of right lung (English)

Due to the presence of other organs in the thoracic cavity, the surfaces of the lungs are marked by impressions of adjacent organs. The medial surface of the right lung is marked by a number of impressions from adjacent organs. The most prominent impressions include the impression of the azygos vein, superior vena cava, right brachiocephalic vein, trachea and esophagus, as well as the groove for the 1st rib.
