Female breast structure (Latin)

This sagittal section illustrates the precise relations of the female breast with the underlying structures of the anterior thoracic wall. Furthermore, it shows the compartmentalization of the breast into lobes by the ligamenta suspensoria mammaria and how the ductus lactiferi of all the lobes coalesce towards the papilla mammaria (nipple). The anterior view presents the surface anatomy of the female breast and gives yet another glimpse into the internal organization of the breast into lobes.
