Nervous system (Latin)

Systema nervosum is divided into central and peripheral components. Systema nervosum centrale consists of encephalon and medulla spinalis, which reside in the cranium and canalis vertebralis, respectively. Systema nervosum periphericum gathers all the neural tissues outside the systema nervosum centrale, namely, all the nerves, plexi and ganglia of the body.
