Main nerves of the upper limb - posterior (Latin)
The n. axillaris and n. radialis both branch off from the fasciculus posterior of the plexus brachialis. The n. axillaris supplies the shoulder region, whilst the n. radialis nerve supplies the posterior arm and forearm. The n. musculocutaneus arises from the fasciculus lateralis and mainly supplies the anterior brachium. The n. medianus arises from both the fasciculus lateralis and medialis of the plexus brachialis and supplies the anterolateral antebrachium and the lateral manus. Lastly, the n. ulnaris branches off the fasciculus medialis and supplies the anteromedial antebrachium and the medial manus.
