Main muscles of the upper limb - anterior (Latin)

The musculi of the brachium can be grouped by region. The most proximal group are the musculi of the omos, specifically the mm. cuffiae musculotendineae and deltoideus which produce movements of the articulatio glenohumeralis. Next are the musculi of the compartimentum anterius brachii, also known as the flexores antebrachii (mm. biceps brachii and brachialis). Distal to these are located the musculi of the compartimentum anterius antebrachii, which flex the manus and digiti. Some of the musculi from this group are the mm. pronator teres, palmaris longus and flexor superficialis digitorum. Lastly, the musculi manus producing movements of the manus and digiti include the musculi of the eminentiae thenaris and hypothenaris, the mm. lumbricales manus and interossei palmares.
